June 8 Networking Collage
2022 Spring event and AGM

June 8th & 9th, 2022

Waterfront Hotel
Burlington, ON

Summary of our event:

It was so great to be back in person at the CWQA 2022 Spring Conference and Annual General Meeting. The event was held in Burlington, Ontario on the north west shore of Lake Ontario. The views were spectacular, the weather was great, and the networking and learning was excellent.

Day 1 started off with an interactive work shop on problem water and what to look for in the water analysis, site information and demographics. Topics covered arsenic, ethics, chlorides, and iron just to name a few. Competitors and colleagues came together to solve some of the trickiest water issues. Finally the day ended with a Welcome Reception hosted by our Silver sponsors on the patio overlooking the water.

Day 2 was a first for the CWQA by offering both in-person and virtual attendees to participate near and far by listening to the excellent line up of speakers with topics covering; Lead, making beer, marketing, Health Canada drinking water information and thoughtfulness through mindfulness. Our platinum sponsor covered the excellent lunch on the patio and our bronze sponsors contributed to all the delicious breaks throughout both days.

Events like these are only possible with sponsors support and member participation. Thank you to all for making the 2022 Hybrid Spring Conference and AGM a success.

What’s Hiding in Your Water?

Looking at a glass of water, you may assume it’s safe, pure and free from harmful substances. However, new studies and publications are identifying water contamination in rural and urban water supplies at an alarming rate. These findings have been found throughout Canada as more study and testing is conducted.
