Total Dissolved Solids – Education
By Jeff Wahl | jeff@wahlwater.com
If a glass of water is held up and it is colourless, crystal clear and has no odour would you think there is much wrong with the water? Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are completely dissolved in a water supply and generally invisible to the human eye. They are not associated with a bacterial test and are not tested for atthe Public Health Unit when you submit a water sample. At certain levels they pose a risk and are not a recommended drinking water source according to the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines(CDWQG).
CWQA is excited to announce a NEW member benefit to our members.
Members of the CWQA will receive a 5% premium discount on Liability insurance through Watercolor Management’s program. Members may receive up to a 12% premium discount if more than 75% of their Technical Sales and Service Representatives have a CWQA Water industry Certification. Actual Discounts are based on information provided by Members on the insurance applications.
Take Part in WQA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey
The Water Quality Association (WQA) is asking companies in the water treatment and filtration community how they are adapting their practices and services through a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We encourage all companies to take part in the survey request by Friday, September 18th, 2020.
The purpose of this survey is to gather DEI efforts and discussions taking place across the industry to help inform the next steps, identify areas to explore, and propel further initiatives on DEI at WQA. The aggregated survey results will be shared with the WQA Board, WQA staff and WQA’s upcoming Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Advisory Council. A summary of the survey will also be shared in general communications.
Any personal information shared in the survey will be confidential and will not be part of the shared survey results. We anticipate the survey should take 5-15 minutes to complete.
