Hello Canadian Water Professionals!

As we are approaching the last quarter of 2021, in what some of you are calling another record breaking year it is time to reflect on the great things that CWQA members are doing. That is why we are embarking on showcasing our CWQA members through our newsletter, social media and website. We want Canadians to know the best companies to call for their water needs.

At this point in 2021 we were all hoping to be past this pandemic and back to life as we knew it, however, we find ourselves in the middle of a fourth wave.

The Federal election came and went without any big changes, so hopefully there will be some focus on water conservation as we know the prairies have had their challenges this year.

The water industry across Canada has remained strong, and your struggle to find qualified individuals is very real. Did you know that CWQA members can post a job opening on the CWQA website for free? Visit our career page to learn more.

The other struggle that we hear is the issue of supply from the manufacturers. In speaking with the manufacturers they are saying that they are getting more product in daily, some are in better shape now but hopefully by the end of this year the supply will be back to normal.

Behind the scenes we have been busy preparing our line-up of education webinars, and we were hopeful to have a fall event, however, the uncertainty with the fourth wave has delayed that once again. You will see some new items in this newsletter such as the ability to advertise both in the newsletter and also on the main landing page of our website, so if you are looking to reach other water professionals consider advertising with us.

The preparation for the 2022 budget and programming is in full swing and if there is something that would help you with your business, and you think we can assist, we want to hear from you. Feel free to email directly to s.peters@cwqa.com.

Our consultants are busy in their respective areas of expertise. Kevin Wong is watching all government affairs, and keeping the CWQA at the forefront of any issues that may arise. Jason Jackson is developing new curriculum, and conducting training as required. With these two experts in these key areas your membership and association are well positioned for progress.

Thank you again for your continued support of the CWQA and we look forward to an in person gathering in 2022.

The Good Water Company - Culligan

The Good Water Company

The Good Water Company began in the garage of Ron Moorman’s Volkswagen dealership in 1955. Back then few people knew what soft water was, and absolutely no one knew who or what the local Culligan Man was! Their first Culligan service vans were all Volkswagens.

Service Excellence

Your clients expect you to help them improve their lifestyle through improvements in water quality. It is your duty and responsibility as a water treatment professional to provide your client with the best water at a fair price.
Many dealers are highly skilled communicators and able to create excitement to help customers understand the benefits of investing in a water treatment appliance for their home. Unfortunately, most business models stop there with the end-user owning a complex mechanical device without truly understanding the overall implications of ownership, such as service & maintenance to enjoy consistent water quality.

WQA Hybrid Event

Two of our very own CWQA members provided online presentations at the recent WQA Hybrid Event in Las Vegas. Even though Canadians could not travel to the USA as safely as they liked, they could take part in the on-demand education sessions. Jeff Wahl from Wahl Water presented: UV Disinfection Explained, and Jason Jackson our CWQA Education Consultant presented: Proper Installation Practices Explained. Congratulations to both of them for their international education efforts.
