The Canadian Water Quality Association (CWQA) would like to welcome one of its’ newest members – Interpump Supply Ltd.
Since 1982 Interpump have provided industry-leading knowledge with in-house design and engineering expertise. They specialized in delivering superior after-sales support for customers while servicing residential, commercial, municipal, industrial and agricultural markets.
In 2008, current President Scott Braid began the process of expanding Interpump’s water treatment product offering. More recently, Sales Manager Kent Tigert has assembled an outstanding team including water treatment Sales Specialists Mike Gagnon and Wayne Lamers. Interpump’s team of water treatment professionals have over 125 years of combined experience across a wide variety of applications. They operate out of a centrally located 18,000-foot facility in Fergus, Ontario.
Similar to many other water treatment companies, Interpump began life as a residential pump supply business and quickly expanded into engineered pump systems for municipal, commercial and industrial applications. In 2018, Net Zero Water was created as a new division of Interpump specializing in rainwater harvesting for commercial buildings. Each of these areas fit very nicely together and create an infinite supply of goods for the water industry.
When asked why they decided to join the CWQA, it was like many other members wish to bring attention and awareness to the water industry and the goods and services that they can supply. With a renewed focus on water treatment beginning in 2020, the pandemic got in the way for a few years, but being part of the CWQA is now a reality post pandemic. They want to get involved in the CWQA and help to bring back the networking that was lost over the last few years and to provide water dealers with another source of supply in Ontario.
Looking at their challenges over the next few years, Kent said, “keeping supply of the necessary goods and letting everyone know that they have the product to meet that demand”. He knows that COVID isn’t over yet and finding everyone’s comfort level in gathering and meeting is still yet to be determined, but Interpump is ready to face whatever challenge may come about.
The last two years saw a huge boom in sales for water treatment and they don’t see that slowing down with commercial products. However, there may be a slowdown in residential markets as everyone faces the high level of inflation on all products and services. There is still much flux in the world and until some things settle down it will be a bit of a roller coaster. Water dealers, mechanical contractors and water treatment professionals, all have one thing in common, finding skilled people to help with their business.
Interpump is ready to help design, supply and service all water treatment requirements across Ontario.
