What to Know Before You Apply for Membership »
CWQA’s membership year goes from January 1st to December 31st.
After you submit your application, your account will be active immediately (i.e you can log in), but you will not be able to access any member-only content until your membership is approved.
Approval is done as quickly as possible. Filling out the application as completely as possible with the information requested will help us get you approved.
You will need:
- at least one reference (usually the person or company from whom you found out about CWQA; this should be a person or company that knows you and your business);
- a list of the brands and a description of the products that you sell/distribute;
- a list of the testing facilities that you use to verify any product claims made by your company
- a digital file of your logo (can be added later)
- your social media links (can be added later)
Payment
The CWQA accepts credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), e-transfers and cheque. You can choose to pay your membership via an automatic payment. Renewal notices will be sent out before your membership expires.
Choose Your Membership
Dealer/Retailer
Any individual or firm or corporation engaged in the retail selling, leasing or renting of water industry equipment, products and/or services to the end user or consumer, OR any individual, firm or corporation that purchases water industry equipment and products on their own account for resale, lease or rent to consumers in the course of which they warehouse and promote the sale, lease or rent of such equipment and products. Such members shall be directly involved in the installation and service of such materials. Membership includes all employees of the company. Dealer members shall have all the rights and privileges of membership including holding elective office and voting.
Membership Dues:
- Volume $1,000,000 or more – $1,805 / year
- Volume over $650,000 but less than $1,000,000 – $1,315 / year
- Volume over $250,000 but less than $650,000 – $900 / year
- Volume $250,000 or less – $510 / year
Master Distributor
Any individual, firm or corporation, one of whose primary objectives is the EXCLUSIVE first importer of water treatment equipment and parts, where the manufacturer is outside of and with no presence in Canada. Membership includes all employees of the company. Master distributor members shall have all the rights and privileges of membership including holding elective office and voting.
Membership Dues:
- Volume $1,000,000 or more – $11,330 / year
- Volume over $650,000 but less than $1,000,000 – $8,850 / year
- Volume over $250,000 but more than $650,000 – $3,500 / year
- Volume $250,000 or less – $1,850 / year
Manufacturer
Any individual, firm or corporation, one of whose primary objective is to manufacture products, equipment and parts, pertaining to the water treatment industry. Membership includes all employees of the company. Manufacturer members shall have all the rights and privileges of membership including holding elective office and voting.
Membership Dues:
- Volume $1,000,000 or more – $12,900 / year
- Volume over $650,000 but less than $1,000,000 – $10,200 / year
- Volume over $250,000 but more than $650,000 – $7,100 / year
- Volume $250,000 or less – $4,015 / year
Wholesale Supplier
Any individual, firm or corporation, one of whose primary objectives is to assemble and wholesale water treatment equipment and parts, or any individual, firm or corporation, one of whose primary objectives is the supply of goods pertaining to the water treatment industry. Such members shall not be directly involved in the installation and service of such materials. Membership includes all employees of the company. Wholesale supplier members shall have all the rights and privileges of membership including holding elective office and voting.
Membership Dues:
- Volume $1,000,000 or more – $11,330 / year
- Volume over $650,000 but less than $1,000,000 – $8,850 / year
- Volume over $250,000 but more than $650,000 – $3,500 / year
- Volume $250,000 or less – $1,850 / year
Allied Company
Allied membership is open to any individual, firm or corporation engaged in a field or endeavour related to the water industry who supports the objectives of this association and who is not otherwise eligible for membership. An example of an allied member company would be a technical institute, standards organization, association, trade organization, or consulting firm. Membership includes all employees of the company.
Membership Dues:
$575 / year
Allied Individual
Allied membership is open to any individual interested in the water treatment industry who supports the objectives of this association and who is not otherwise eligible for membership. Membership includes one individual.
Membership Dues:
$250 / year
