The Canadian Water Quality Association submitted recommendations to the federal government during the 2026 pre-budget consultation. Our submission focuses on three key priorities: establishing a Canadian Water Quality Map to standardize and centralize water quality data; supporting professional certification for Canadian water quality technicians; and introducing a tax credit for high-efficiency water treatment system upgrades.

These recommendations are part of the Canadian Water Quality Action Plan. They cover monitoring, education, and innovation to ensure all Canadians have access to safe drinking water, expert professionals, and modern water technologies.
